The What to Use List:
I have put together a list of all the things I use. This is just a list not the reasons behind why I use what I use. Eventually I hope I can find time to explain the research behind why I use what I do but for now here is just the list. Know that I have done lots of research though into all of this :)
Sweeteners:
Raw local honey
Pure maple syrup
Organic evaporated cane juice crystals
Water to drink:
Reverse Osmosis
Flour:
organic einkorn grain
Organic sprouted flour (hard white, soft white, or wheat)
organic wheat flour with germ intact (or grind fresh red wheat berries)
organic unbleached flour with germ intact (or grind fresh hard white wheat berries)
Drinks::
Kombucha
water kefir
green tea
organic herbal tea
milk kefir
organic coffee (1 cup a day)
Raw goats milk
raw milk
Dairy:
Organic cultured butter
raw butter
raw goats milk
raw cows milk
raw kefir
organic sour cream (full fat)
raw sour cream
raw cream
organic valley farm fresh cream (no carrageenan in it)
Raw organic cheese (not shredded, shred your own)
Raw yogurt (this is not hard to make your own)
*try to find a local farm and buy ALL dairy from them. Make sure you find out what they feed their animals (NO soy! NO corn!). That they do not treat their animals with antibiotics or hormones.
Soy:
Nama Shoyu (a raw soy sauce)
organic miso paste
(don't eat anything with soy lecithin in it)
Almost all soy is GMO
Soy should always be fermented or don't eat.
Chicken:
Free range organic chicken (look to make sure they do not feed their chickens soy)
Beef:
Organic 100 percent grass fed beef
Fish:
wild caught (I buy it from a man who fishes a few times a year in Alaska)
Know where your fish is coming from!
Eggs:
Soy free organic eggs (find out once again what they feed their chickens)
Coconut oil:
Hand pressed organic extra virgin coconut oil from Tropical Traditions
Coconut Milk: (making your own is always best but...)
Be careful with canned coconut milks as they have fillers. I like this brand best:
Natural Value
Coconut Cream:
Tropical Traditions
Nut milks:
ALWAYS make your own! Many commercially sold nut milks have horrible ingredients in them
Nut butters:
Make your own almond butter from soaked and dehydrated almonds
*AVOID peanut butter or eat very sparingly as peanuts were not intended to be eaten in this form and can be very toxic to the body.
Olive oil:
Unfortunately olive oil has been completely perverted and most likely the olive oil you are buying is not really olive oil at all!
I only suggest these 2 brands:
Napa Valley
Bariani
Corn:
Always buy nonGMO
I buy organic cornmeal
I also buy masa harina that is nonGMO
Corn tortillas I make my own from masa harina or Nixtamal corn
or buy food for life sprouted organic corn tortillas
popcorn should always be organic or nongmo
*corn should be soaked, sprouted or soured. I eat corn more sparingly
*Always read labels my rule is if it has more than 3 ingredients and I can't pronounce some of them then I don't buy it!
